Plastech International Private Limited
was established in 1986 with
manufacturing of industrial components from engineering
plastics (as an original equipment manufacturing supplier)
for large brands like Solidaire, Crown, Symphony, Uptron,
Philips, Onida and many more. After gaining a thorough
understanding of design, production and assembly of plastics
and metals, Plastech was convinced about investing their
efforts into creating their own product line.
Following the suggestion of a company
called BULLYLAND which is a leading toy manufacturing
company based in Germany, in 1995 Plastech ventured into
import of products from Bullyland and set their sight on
licensed merchandize. Subsequently they started
manufacturing these products out of their own factory based
in Mumbai.
For close to a decade, Plastech was
licensed for all the Disney range of 3-D figurine-based
products like fun springs, huggers, toppers, swingers,
wind-chimes and many more innovative items for the Indian
market. For several years this became the mainline activity
for the entire range of Disney characters like Mickey,
Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, 101 Dalmatians, Pooh,
Tiger, Piglet and Eyesore.
Over the years, Plastech has worked on
several popular properties and has mastered the art of
Licensed Merchandising. As an extension of this
expertise, Plastech was the company who successfully gave a
3-D perspective to the most popular Indian animated
character BABY HANUMAN and under license, developed
an innovative range of Hanuman merchandise which, till very
recently, were very popular in the market. The company was
also the sole merchandiser for a range of toys for the 1st
3-D animated film of India, KRISHNA. Currently we are
licensed for India’s first ever composite animation film
“My Friend Ganesha” for which we have created a wide
variety of Licensed Merchandise like Pencil Toppers, Key
Chains, Flying Discs, Face Masks, Fun Boxes, Water
Sharpeners, Tracing Cards, Glow Stickers, Slide Puzzles etc.
It is our endeavor to continually improve
our offering in
LICENSED
MERCHANDISE and in the process place BUDDYZ
and thereby INDIA on the Global Licensed Merchandising Map.
The Glow phenomenon had started in
the US in a big way in the early 90’s and in toys Plastech
was amongst the pioneers to launch
GLOW
PRODUCTS in the
Indian market. We did extensive research on the different
SKU’s that could be offered and today have a product
offering of over 30 popular SKU’s under this category.
In 2003, the company christened its
product range under the brand name BUDDYZ. The

With over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and
procurement, we today boast of an experienced pool of
resources which includes a Research, Design and Development
Studio, Plastic Manufacturing Unit, Assembly Lines,
Stringent Quality Control and a host of well honed
Suppliers; that contribute in creating customized product
ideas on a turnkey basis. In brief, we provide Ideas,
Proto-types, Development and Production. At Plastech,
taking on an assignment means sharing our client’ passion,
and this translates into an endeavor to delight customers
with our creations taking into account the customers
parameters of Target Audience, Target Price and Target
Specifications of materials, size and design.
The company has made customized
promotional products for various leading corporate brands
like Kellogg’s, Nickelodeon, ITC Sun feast, Girnar Tea, The
